LCMS Worship provides hymn suggestions for Three-Year Series A and the One-Year Series to use during the 2025-26 church year.
The Series A hymn suggestions were compiled by the Rev. Sean Smith, senior pastor, and Dr. Jonathan Rudy, cantor, of Grace Lutheran Church of Clarksville, Tenn. Cantor Rudy also provided suggestions for organ voluntaries for each service.
The One-Year Series hymn suggestions are offered by the Rev. Michael Moss, senior pastor of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Corcoran, Minn.; the Rev. Matthew Johnson, associate pastor; and Kantor Katie Moss.
In the Lutheran church, hymns are not “filler” or background music. They are an integral part of proclaiming the Word of God. We teach and admonish one another in these hymns, so that the Word of Christ may dwell in our hearts and sustain our faith until we die (Colossians 3).
